Let’s face it, waterparks can either be a really great trip or it can turn messy, really quick! Forgetting to pack just one item can potentially turn the trip into a cranky, screaming and expensive day. The best way to avoid that is make a list and do it a few days in advance. Even if you aren’t the type to write a list, this trip will be a great reason to acquire the habit.
Part of the fun that is a waterpark is the chaos but being prepared, especially for one of the big ones like Disney or Kalahari, will make your day and your broods, a more successful one.
Some important tips to keep in mind, check the rules for the specific park you are going to. Sometimes parks have rules that are unlike other parks. If you can’t bring in food for example, plan to bring snacks that can sit in a locker until the end of the day or plan the day with lunch at the beginning, right when you get to the park. This was you will save money on needing to buy expensive food and can offer a treat like ice cream or a snow cone as park of the water park experience.
More important things to keep in mind or research before heading out, check the height of your children and the parks rules about height and age requirements. You can even find a map online of the park to get a better idea of where to start and where to spend most of your time.
The best advice we can offer is to invest in some quick-drying and UPF 50+ clothing for you and your girls from HydroChic. This will allow you to go from water to dry rides without having to worry about changing and schlepping around all your wet clothing.
Most of all, for those parents or guardians out there looking to treat your kids and make memories, remember that it’s going to be a long, hot day but with a little prep, you can do it!
