I recently celebrated my 60th birthday with my family in Eilat, Israel. Family includes my husband, married children, grandchildren and the baby of our family, our 18 year old son. We flew to our vacation destination which meant that luggage was limited. I love to wear nice clothes and I am not a good packer, but this time I knew that HydroChic would be my staple this vacation and packed a few sets: a jacket, shirt, skirt and capri pants. I knew that these outfits would be great for all the activities on my vacation, and when I woke up each morning I put on a HydroChic outfit and was ready to go. My daughters-in-law were impressed but not surprised when they saw me in HydroChic because they know that I live in my HydroChic at our community pool, and over the years I have gotten each of them a HydroChic outfit so that they can enjoy too.
The first morning I felt stylish and comfortable sitting by the pool and wading in the water with my grandchildren. When I was ready to go shopping with my 18 year old son I simply put my HydroChic jacket over my skirt ensemble and was ready for the mall.
The next day was all about the water sports. I wore my HydroChic jacket over a swim top paired with capri pants . We enjoyed a boat ride with the family where my jacket came in handy, keeping me warm as the wind blew over the ocean.
Being a grandmother, and at the same time the mother of an 18 year old, has its challenges. My 18 year old wanted to partake in some extreme water sports and asked me to come along. As he explained to me, when his older brothers were teenagers, he was too small to do all of the fun things with them and now that they are married he needed me to share the extreme sports with him. So there I was on a banana boat with him, bouncing over the waves of the Red Sea. I wore the jacket over my one piece swimsuit so I didn’t have to worry about a sunburn or my swimsuit straps sliding up or down as we bumped along. With no worries all I could do was have fun!
Our family has unforgettable memories of the time we spent together, and when I look at the photos I have to say that I see one chic grandmother smiling back at me in all the pictures!
